County & State Fair Crochet Awards

Stitches for Care participated in county and state fair crochet competitions, earning multiple top honors including Grand Champion and Judge's Choice Awards. These recognitions celebrate craftsmanship, creativity, and the care put into every handmade piece.

Donation Delivery to Community Partner

August 1, 2025

Stitches for Care delivered two handmade crochet blankets and six heart pillows to the Montgomery County Association for Family & Community Education (MCAFCE). MCAFCE distributes donated items to local organizations and programs, including Shady Grove Hospital, Meals on Wheels, Gabriel Project, and Adventist Community Services, helping extend comfort and care to individules and families throughout the community.

County Fair Youth Award & Volunteer Participation

2023-2024

In 2024, Ciara participated in county fair crochet competitions and received the Bonnie Bay Crochet Youth Award . This award was also presented to her in 2023, reflecting consistent dedication and growth in her work. alongside her participation in the competition, she volunteered at the fair, giving back to the community that supports youth arts and craftsmanship.

Donation Delivery to Community Partner

Ciara began crocheting as a hobby. Through repeated effort and patience, she finally completed her first handmade donation, delivering two handmade crochet blankets and two scarves the Montgomery County Association for Family & Community Education (MCAFCE). This experience marked the beginning of using creativity and perseverance to bring warmth and comfort to others.
